  • ADVERB वह शब्द है जो विशेषता बताता है ।
    •  (Verb) की
    •  (Adjective) की
    • (Adverb) की
    • Preposition की
    • Conjunction की
    • (Sentence) की
    • कुछ ऐसे Adverbs हैं जो किसी Noun या Pronoun की विशेषता भी बताते है ।
      • ये adverbs हैं-
        • Only
        • even
        • at last
        • almost
  • ADVERB तीन प्रकार के होते हैं:- 
    1. Simple Adverb 
      1. Manner – honestly, slowly,
      2. Time – After, ag0, early, late, now, then, soon, today, tommorrow
      3. place – here, there, in, out, up, down, within above, below
      4. Frequency or Number – once, twice, always, never, seldom, often, frequently
      5. Degree (परिमाण ) – very, much, more, too, quite, little, almost
      6. Reason – so, hence, therefore, on account of, consequently
      7. Affirmative ( स्वीकारात्मक ) –  truly, surely, certainly
      8. Negation (निषेध ) – no, not, never
    2. Relative Adverb 
    3. Interrogative Adverb
  • Simple Adverb : 
  • Relative Adverb : Relative Adverb वाक्यों को जोड़ता है। अपने antecedent (पूर्व प्रयुक्त Noun या Pronoun) की ओर संकेत करते हुए time, place, reason और manner बताता है।
    • Relative Adverbs हैं-
      • When
      • Where (Ex –  I don’t know where he has gone.)
      • Why
      • How
  • Interrogative Adverb :  Why, when, where, how
    • Ex – Why are you surprised?
  • Adjectives की भांति कुछ Adverbs की भी Degree of Comparison होती हैं।

  • POSITION OF ADVERBS
    • Adverb सदैव उस शब्द के निकट रखा जाता है, जिसको यह modify करता है। यदि Adverb के Position को बदल दिया जाए तो वाक्य का अर्थ ही बदल जाता है।
  • वाक्य के आरंभ में (At the beginning) 
    • Interrogative Adverb का प्रयोग सदैव sentences के आरंभ में होता है। 
      • जैसे: When are you returning home? 
    • सारे वाक्य को modify करने के लिए Adverb आरंभ में प्रयुक्त होता है। 
      • जैसे: Surely, I will take care of you. 
    • Emphasis के लिए भी Adverb आरंभ में प्रयुक्त होता है। 
      • जैसे: Off she goes.
  • दो वाक्यों के मध्य में
